Varni Dev built Bright Kids as a free Android learning app for young children. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices available to parents and guardians.
This policy is effective and was last updated on 2026-09-26.
Summary
- Bright Kids has no ads and does not use the Android Advertising ID.
- There are no accounts, sign-up, chat, or in-app purchases.
- The app does not ask for names, email addresses, photos, contacts, or location permission.
- Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics collect limited technical information, described below, to help us understand usage and fix problems.
- Varni Dev does not sell any data.
Information We Do Not Collect
Bright Kids does not ask for or collect personal information from children or parents. There is no way to enter a name, email address, phone number, or other contact details in the app, and the app does not access the camera, microphone, contacts, files, or precise location. The pictures and sounds used for learning are included in the app and play on your device.
Analytics
Bright Kids uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used, such as which screens are opened, so we can improve it. Analytics may process app interactions and screen views, app version, device model, operating system version, language, an app-instance identifier, session information, and approximate location (such as country) derived by Google from an Internet Protocol address.
Analytics in Bright Kids is set up without advertising: collection of the Advertising ID is turned off, the Advertising ID permissions are removed from the app, and ad personalization signals are disabled. Analytics information is not used for advertising or to build a profile of a child.

Crash Reports
Bright Kids uses Firebase Crashlytics to receive reports when the app crashes. A crash report may include the error details, the state of the app at the time of the crash, device model, operating system version, app version, and a Crashlytics installation identifier. Crash reports are used only to find and fix problems.

Parental Gate
Actions that leave the app are protected by a parental gate: a grown-up must answer a multiplication question before the app opens the Share menu or the Varni Dev website with more apps. When you share the app, Android's share menu sends a message with a Google Play link through the app you choose; Bright Kids does not receive what you send or who you send it to.
Advertising and Purchases
Bright Kids does not show ads, does not include advertising SDKs, and does not offer in-app purchases.
Data Sharing
Varni Dev does not sell data and does not share it with advertisers. Limited analytics and crash information is processed by Google as our service provider, as described above.
Retention and Deletion
Analytics and crash information is kept and deleted according to the retention settings of Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics. Because Bright Kids does not collect names or contact details, we cannot usually link this information to a specific child or family. Uninstalling the app stops any further collection. If you have a question or request about data from your device, contact us at contact@varnidev.com.
Security
Information sent to Firebase is transmitted over encrypted connections. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, but we use commercially reasonable safeguards and collect as little as we need.
Children's Privacy
Bright Kids is designed for young children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the app has no features for a child to share personal information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will review and delete it.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, its services, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date.
